centrally located for many attractions throughout Yorkshire.
Take Haygate lane (road next to The Milburn Arms) and enjoy the
beautiful views across the North Yorkshire moors, in this
direction you will find, Goathland, home of the popular
television series Heartbeat, Grosmont, Harry Potter and
eventually Whitby with the beautiful Abbey. (approx 17 miles.)
In the pretty market town of Pickering (approx 10 miles), you
will find the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway and also Beck
Isle Folk Museum. Monday also sees Pickerings market day.
You
can then travel to Scarborough (approx 19 miles from Pickering)
a popular costal resort with shopping and plenty of attractions
for children like the sea life centre and Atlantis outdoor
swimming pool, or head towards Malton (approx 8 miles from
Pickering) on your way there you will find Flamingo Land Theme
Park and Zoo and Eden Camp war museum.
The stunning city of York is roughly 38 miles away from
Rosedale, and easily accessible via Pickering. On your journey
to York you will find the beautiful stately home of Castle
Howard. In York there is an array of attractions, Jorvik, the
National Railway Museum and the Castle Museum, to name but a
few, and the incredibly beautiful Minster. On the outskirts of
York the designer centre.
Taking Chimney Bank out of Rosedale, take the road across
beautiful heather moorland to Hutton Le Hole (approx 7 miles)
where you can visit Ryedale Folk Museum and an array of pretty
shops and tea rooms.
In the springtime, why not visit Farndale with its beautiful
daffodils and enjoy a home cooked pub lunch.
