Five Acre View B & B is just less than one mile from the village of Rosedale Abbey, take the car, for which there is plenty of free parking, or better still relax and enjoy a ten to fifteen minute stroll through the picturesque countryside, torches are available for guests returning after dark.
The village has three local hostelries, serving a variety of food and drink, with incredibly relaxing atmospheres for your evening meal.
Abbey stores tearooms and gift shop, sell a wide variety of
necessities from daily newspapers, to gifts for all the family,
the tea room has a wide range of home made cakes, scones and
freshly brewed coffee. Molly’s tea room, across the road, sells
delicious sandwiches, home mad pies and wonderful curd tars. An
array of locally produced preserves and relishes, along with
home baked ham, can also be purchased here.
Gillies Jones, renowned glass works, situated on Milk Street, is
a must for visitors. Pop along to view the beautiful pieces
created by Steve and Kate and maybe purchase wonderful gift for
yourselves or friends as a lovely reminder of you visit to
Rosedale.
Rosedale also has its own 9 hole golf course, situated at Red
House, spend an afternoon on the green, then relax with a pint
of local ale.
